Statement of Faith
- THE SCRIPTURES We believe
that the scriptures, both
the Old and the New Testaments,
are verbally inspired
by God, without error,
and that they are the
supreme and final authority
for faith and practice,
preserved for the English
speaking people in the
Authorized King James
Bible.
- GOD We believe there
is only one true and living
God, existing in three
persons; the Father, the
Son and the Holy Spirit,
each being the express
image of the other, being
of one essence, but having
distinct personalities
and functions.
- JESUS CHRIST We believe
that Jesus Christ is the
Son of God, God in the
flesh, born of a virgin,
sinless in life, Who came
to shed His blood on Calvary
as the substitutionary
death for all mankind,
was buried, rose again
bodily, and ascended to
the Father, according
to the Scriptures.
- HOLY SPIRIT We believe
the Holy Spirit is the
third person of the Trinity,
equal with God the Father
and God the Son. The Holy
Spirit testifies of Jesus
Christ by enlightening
the sinful mind and convincing
the sinful heart of Bible
Salvation.
- SALVATION We believe
that all mankind is sinful,
has been reconciled to
God by Jesus Christ (2
Corinthians 5:19) and
can and should be born
again (saved) by the Word
of God. Salvation is wholly
of grace apart from works.
The conditions of salvation
are "..repentance
towards God and Faith
towards our Lord Jesus
Christ." (Acts 20:21)
- SECOND COMING We believe
the future coming of Christ
is in two parts. First,
the Rapture where the
saints are caught up in
the air to meet the Lord
(2 Thessalonians 4:13-17).
Then, after the Judgement
Seat of Christ, he will
come in a literal, visible,
personal, premillenial
way to set up His kingdom.
- THE CHURCH We believe
that the local church
is God's institution for
this age and is to uphold
the word of God and the
Saviour of mankind in
a Christian testimony
to its community. Every
Christian worker should
be actively involved in
and answer to the local
church. The ordinances
of Believer's Baptism
by immersion in water,
and the Lord's Supper
as a commemoration of
His death until He comes,
are both to be administered
by authority of the local
church.
- HEAVEN AND HELL We
believe in the eternal
blessedness of the saved
in Heaven and the eternal
punishment of the lost
in Hell. The lost, because
of unbelief, will spend
eternity in the Lake of
Fire while the saved will
ever abide with the Lord
Jesus Christ. Therefore,
we must win the lost before
it is too late.
